If there's one thing that stands out about Breckenridge, it's the authenticity. From locals to tourists, there's one thing everyone has in common … everyone loves Breck. It is a community of people working together to make this small town a dream.

While taking a casual walk through main street, I found myself enjoying the killer mountain view, shopping locally-owned shops, and admiring the amazing art. To be unentertained in this town would be nearly impossible. Maybe it's taking a stroll and breathing crisp mountain air while listening to musicians play closeby, but this town is heaven on earth.

Soaked in culture, I noticed how Breckenridge was home to generations of artists and musicians which inspired me to stop by Breck Crate. Breck Crate (which is short for Breckenridge Creative Arts (BCA)) was developed by the Town of Breckenridge to support and promote arts, culture and creative experiences throughout Breckenridge. This workshop is loaded with all types of events, classes, and opportunities for people of all ages and interests. I was really pleased to see how Breckenridge gave back to the community.

After wandering the shops of main street I started getting a little hungry so I stopped at a locally-owned restaurant called Downstairs at Eric’s. An Après-ski pub for families, with HDTVs, casual comfort food & a long list of beers on tap. It was a great way to escape the winter cold. Food was above quality compared to others in the area. Great atmosphere, music, decor & excellent servers! I was also given word that the mayor plays a part in owning and running this amazing restaurant. This restaurant was definitely a hidden gem.

Overall, Breckenridge is a beautiful town. The day went by fast but the memories will last forever. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy your time but find entertainment, mainstreet is the place to be. Easily accessible and friendly for people of all ages. The community may be little but is very mighty. There are plenty of hotels and lodges in the area, so you will get lots of choices of stay. I would recommend booking well in advance if you are planning on coming here during their peak winter season. However, no matter the season, this town will always offer amusement whether that's rentals for a nice bike ride, ski’s for the slopes, or spa’s for a day of relaxation. Breckenridge will definitely be a trip to keep in the books! If you need an easy get away for a day or a week, Breckenridge is the spot to land. Hope to hear of your amazing stay soon!
